About Us

Protection Tax is a national tax resolution firm that helps individuals and businesses resolve complex IRS and state tax issues. Our team works closely with clients to guide them toward the right solution for their tax situation. We are currently seeking motivated and professional Sales Openers to join our growing team. This role is the first point of contact for prospective clients and plays a critical part in identifying qualified opportunities for our sales team. Position

Overview

The Sales Opener is responsible for handling inbound inquiries and contacting lead sources to conduct an initial screening of potential clients. This position gathers key information about the caller's tax situation, determines eligibility for our services, and either transfers qualified prospects to a Sales Closer or schedules an appointment for a consultation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, asking the right questions, and helping connect individuals with the right solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from individuals seeking assistance with IRS or state tax issues
• Conduct initial qualification conversations to understand a caller's tax situation and service needs
• Ask structured discovery questions to determine eligibility for tax resolution services
• Transfer qualified prospects to Sales Closers in real time or schedule consultations on their calendar
• Make outbound calls to new lead sources and individuals who have expressed interest in our services
• Accurately document call details, client information, and qualification notes in the CRM system
• Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when speaking with individuals experiencing financial stress
• Follow internal call scripts and qualification guidelines while maintaining a natural conversation flow
• Meet daily and monthly performance targets related to call activity, transfers, and appointments scheduled
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified prospects
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve call handling and qualification skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience in call center, sales support, customer service, or lead qualification preferred
• Strong phone presence and clear communication skills
• Comfortable asking questions and guiding conversations
• Ability to remain organized while handling a high volume of calls
• Basic computer skills and comfort working within CRM systems (Experience with IRS Logics is a plus)
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Compensation

• Monthly performance- based bonus incentives Pay: $23.00 per hour
