Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting plants, gardening tools, floral arrangements, and outdoor decor to meet their needs.
• Provide expert advice on lawn care, landscape maintenance, plant identification, and horticulture best practices to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cashiering transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Maintain organized stock levels through stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and managing inventory counts.
• Support floral design efforts by creating beautiful floral arrangements and assisting customers with custom orders.
• Engage with customers in multiple languages when possible to enhance communication and inclusivity.
• Assist with e-commerce orders by preparing online purchases for pickup or delivery when applicable.
• Keep the store environment clean and organized to promote safety and an inviting shopping atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred; enthusiasm for gardening, landscaping, or horticulture is a plus.
• Knowledge of plant identification, floral design techniques, lawn care practices, and landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for connecting with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, retail math, and merchandising standards is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while actively engaging with customers and managing store tasks.
• Organizational skills to manage stock levels efficiently and maintain a tidy workspace.
