Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Assist in merchandising products on the sales floor, ensuring displays are attractive and well-stocked.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Utilize upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area, including stocking shelves as needed.
• Supervise junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are followed.
• Address customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred; grocery store experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
• Experience with merchandising and stocking practices in a retail environment.
• Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
