Full description of the position

The RSR will be able to provide customers with accurate and complete information on all new and used rental equipment that is carried by Nichols Equipment. This individual will be required to quickly and accurately perform all counter and computer functions for rental reservations, contracts, and rental invoices. This position requires someone who is highly motivated and driven to control flow of rental sales within the rental department. This candidate will also generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders and developing current accounts. This individual must have a solid work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Please see job description and qualifications below.

Job Description

:

• Develop rental sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
• As time allows, prospecting for new accounts and building further report with existing accounts.
• Responsible for Accounts Receivable report and calling accounts and making payment arrangements.
• Greet customers quickly with a friendly manner.
• Answer customer questions regarding products, prices, availability, product uses, and rental policies.
• Fulfill requests promptly and accurately while staying in-line with company procedures and standards.
• Enter all customer interaction and information into HubSpot (CRM).
• Ensure data entries are accurate and timely, including but not limited to: Damage Tickets, Insurance Certificates, Insurance Quick Reference, Equipment Transfers, Service Writing, Time Sheets, Internal Repair Orders, Lost Rentals, and Sales.
• Utilize all Opportunities before turning down a rental: Ottumwa location, Service, Re-Rent, and other RSR's.
• Understand the warning signs that indicate bad checks, poor credit, and business risks.
• Follow-up with clients and customers after rentals or contract signings to resolve issues and provide ongoing support.
• Knowledge of products to troubleshoot machine issues over the phone.
• Inform direct manager of procedures that are unsafe, improper, and wasteful.
• Work with team members to ensure the highest quality of work.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

:

• Minimum high school/GED Educations and prefer 3-years of experience in industrial, constructions or heavy equipment retail or rental sales.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexible and highly organized with the ability to work with a team.
• Honesty, Respectfulness, and Trustworthiness will demonstrating sound work ethics.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Willingness to learn.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Proficient math skills.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Analytical and organization skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check at time of hire.
