About Coractive Coractive is a Canadian manufacturer specializing in high-performance specialty optical fibers. We develop innovative fiber solutions for industrial lasers, sensing, medical, defense, and telecommunications applications. As we expand our next generation of optical fiber technologies for telecommunications, AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centers, and next- generation optical networks, we are seeking a motivated individual to join our commercial team at an exciting stage of product development. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for photonics and telecommunications to grow into a technical sales and business development role. Overview

THIS POSITION WILL BE BASED IN US office - San Jose The successful candidate will focus on market intelligence, customer engagement, and business development activities while building a strong technical understanding of the products and applications. The role will progressively evolve into a technical sales position responsible for supporting customers and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Market Intelligence

• Research telecommunications, AI, hyperscale data center, and optical networking markets
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities
• Identify market opportunities and potential applications for new fiber products
• Prepare market reports and customer insights for product development and management teams Business Development
• Identify and establish relationships with prospective customers and industry partners
• Build and maintain a database of target customers, OEMs, system integrators, and research organizations
• Initiate customer outreach through email, LinkedIn, conferences, and technical meetings
• Support lead generation and customer qualification activities Industry Engagement
• Identify relevant conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and technical forums
• Coordinate company participation in industry events
• Represent Coractive at trade shows and conferences as products become available
• Build relationships with industry experts and key opinion leaders Technical Learning
• Develop a solid understanding of optical fiber technologies and telecommunications systems
• Learn the fundamentals of fiber optic communication, data center architectures, coherent transmission, and AI networking
• Work closely with R&D;, engineering, and product management teams
• Stay current with industry standards and technology developments Marketing Support
• Assist in developing technical marketing materials, presentations, brochures, and application notes
• Support product launches and promotional activities
• Help communicate customer requirements back to engineering teams

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following fields:
• Photonics
• Optical Engineering
• Telecommunications
• Physics
• Applied Physics
• Or a related technical discipline
• Strong interest in photonics, telecommunications, AI infrastructure, or data center technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and research abilities
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events Preferred
• Basic knowledge of:
• Optical fibers
• Fiber optic communications
• Telecommunications systems
• Optical networking
• Data center technologies
• Internship, research, or academic project experience related to photonics or telecommunications
• Familiarity with technologies such as:
• Optical transmission systems
• DWDM
• Coherent communications
• Hollow-core fibers
• Specialty optical fibers
• Silicon photonics (an asset)
