Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with integrity
• Assist customers with product information, including conducting product demos when applicable
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor looks inviting
• Practice excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and efficient checkout processes
• Conduct basic retail math calculations for transactions and inventory management tasks

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with customers
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures required
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of hardware store operations or retail environment is beneficial but not mandatory
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
