• Inside Sales Representative [ Summary ]
• An industry-leading Japanese global steel trading company is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative at their Chicago headquarters. This role focuses on domestic supply chain account management for the automotive sector. You will coordinate with US steel mills, service centers, and automotive customers to ensure a seamless process from procurement to final delivery. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates, as comprehensive training is provided. [

Essential Duties

]

• Manage end-to-end domestic supply chain workflows: procuring steel from US mills, coordinating processing with service centers, and delivering to automotive clients.
• Process and manage sales orders, forecasts, and invoices accurately within the ERP system.
• Communicate daily with US mills, service/steel centers, and customer representatives regarding logistics and delivery status.
• Monitor and reconcile physical inventory counts (including occasional out of state warehouse assistance, 1-2 times a year).
• Handle customer inquiries, claims, and general office expenses as needed. [ Working Hours / Working style ]
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break / 35-hour workweek).
• Working Style: Hybrid (Remote on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays).
• Note: Daily in-office attendance is required during the initial 36 months training period. [ Working Location ]

• Salary: Around $50,000 / year (Non-Exempt / Hourly-based salary, eligible for overtime pay).

Qualifications

]

• Full professional proficiency in English (Japanese language skills are NOT required).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail (ability to convert units such as lbs, kg, and metric tons accurately).
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (an Excel assessment will be part of the interview process).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to manage multiple business partners.
• College degree preferred but not mandatory; entry-level candidates with high potential are welcome. Pay: $50,000.00 per year
