Overview

We are seeking a warm, professional, and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our busy ophthalmology practice specializing in LASIK and cataract surgery. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a positive, efficient experience from the moment they arrive. The ideal candidate has strong customer service and sales skills, is highly organized, presents professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical practice environment.

Compensation

• Base salary plus bonus opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor
• Check patients in and out while ensuring all required paperwork is completed accurately
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments, including consultations, in an efficient manner
• Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions regarding LASIK and cataract procedures
• Verify insurance benefits and collect co-pays, payments, and out-of-pocket estimates
• Demonstrate effective time management and multitasking skills
• Prepare, maintain, and update patient charts and medical records
• Perform administrative duties including scanning, document management, and faxing

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a medical or ophthalmology front desk role; experience with LASIK or cataract patients highly preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
