Sales Associate / Project Coordinator Houston Granite Remnants Houston, TX Pay $23.00 per hour (Full-Time) Plus 2-3% commissions on all monthly sales

Houston Granite Remnants is one of Houston's premier suppliers of natural stone and engineered quartz countertops. We specialize in providing exceptional customer service, premium materials, and professional fabrication and installation. We are looking for a motivated, knowledgeable Sales Associate who is passionate about the stone industry and enjoys helping customers bring their projects to life. Position

Overview

This is more than a retail sales position. You'll work directly with homeowners, designers, builders, contractors, and fabricators to guide customers through selecting the perfect material while helping coordinate projects from sale through installation. The ideal candidate has previous experience in the countertop or stone industry, understands fabrication processes, and enjoys working in a fast- paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide an exceptional showroom experience.
• Help customers select granite, quartzite, marble, dolomite, soapstone, quartz, porcelain, and other countertop materials.
• Educate customers on the differences between natural stone and engineered surfaces.
• Generate quotes, close sales, and follow up with leads.
• Coordinate jobs with fabricators, installers, and project managers to ensure projects stay on schedule.
• Assist with scheduling templates, installations, and customer communication throughout the project.
• Maintain accurate customer information using CRM and business software.
• Learn and utilize company operating systems, scheduling software, inventory management, and point-of-sale applications.
• Maintain an organized showroom and slab yard.
• Work collaboratively with the sales and operations teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the countertop, stone, cabinet, flooring, kitchen & bath, or closely related home improvement industry.
• Strong knowledge of countertop materials, including:
• Granite
• Quartz
• Quartzite
• Marble
• Dolomite
• Soapstone
• Engineered Quartz
• Porcelain
• Ability to identify materials and confidently explain their characteristics to customers.
• Experience working with fabricators, installers, or project management is highly preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to close sales.
• Comfortable using computers, CRM software, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and industry software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Schedule
• Full-time (40+ hours per week)
• Weekend availability is required.
• Saturdays and Sundays are our busiest sales days, and availability on weekends is a condition of employment.
• Flexible weekday schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Houston-area resident familiar with the local market.
• Experience using SlabWare or other stone industry software.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
