Overview

Tensik Industries is expanding its national sales organization and is seeking experienced Regional Vice Presidents of Sales & Market Development to lead growth across four strategic territories in the United States. This is a senior, hands-on sales position for an accomplished industrial sales professional who can develop a territory, establish relationships with decision-makers, identify capital-equipment opportunities and close major projects. The successful candidate will represent Tensik Industries as the senior commercial leader within the assigned region. This is not a management-only role. The Regional Vice President will personally prospect, visit customers, develop opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements and close sales. Available TerritoriesSoutheast & Atlantic Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Preferred candidate location: Florida, Georgia or North Carolina. Texas & South Central Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a regional sales and market-development strategy.
  • Generate new business for concrete batch plants, cement silos, conveyors, mixers, automation systems and related industrial equipment.
  • Identify new plants, plant expansions, replacement projects, retrofits and modernization opportunities.
  • Build relationships with owners, presidents, executives, operations managers, plant managers, engineers and purchasing professionals.
  • Manage major opportunities from initial contact through contract execution.
  • Conduct customer meetings, plant visits, presentations and technical discussions.
  • Prepare opportunity strategies, commercial proposals and account-development plans.
  • Negotiate pricing, project scope, payment terms and commercial conditions.
  • Maintain a qualified sales pipeline of at least four times the assigned annual sales target.
  • Provide accurate monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate customer requirements with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, installation and service teams.
  • Participate in industry associations, conferences, trade shows and regional events.
  • Monitor competitors, pricing, market activity and customer sentiment.
  • Identify opportunities for replacement parts, preventive maintenance, service and aftermarket sales.
  • Support customers throughout project development, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
  • Strengthen Tensik Industries' reputation and market presence within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate customer, activity and opportunity information in the company CRM.
  • Submit regular activity, pipeline and performance reports to executive management. Products and Solutions The Regional Vice President may be responsible for selling:
  • Stationary concrete batch plants.
  • Mobile and portable concrete plants.
  • Low-profile concrete plants.
  • Dry batch and central mix systems.
  • Cement silos and auxiliary silos.
  • Aggregate storage and weighing systems.
  • Belt conveyors and screw conveyors.
  • Central mixers and mixing upgrades.
  • Dust collectors and environmental-control systems.
  • Plant automation and control systems.
  • Plant retrofits and modernization projects.
  • Replacement parts and components.
  • Preventive maintenance programs.
  • Technical service and installation support.
  • Custom-engineered industrial equipment.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of successful B2B industrial, construction-equipment or capital-equipment sales experience.
  • Proven ability to develop a territory and generate new business.
  • Demonstrated success closing high-value or multimillion-dollar opportunities.
  • Strong experience communicating and negotiating with business owners and senior executives.
  • Ability to understand technical equipment, specifications, layouts and customer production requirements.
  • Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Strong organizational, forecasting and CRM-management skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 40%60%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the ready-mix concrete, precast, aggregates, cement, construction or industrial-equipment industries.
  • Existing relationships with ready-mix producers, precast companies, concrete contractors or industrial customers.
  • Experience selling concrete batch plants, silos, conveyors, mixers, aggregate equipment or automation systems.
  • Experience working for an equipment manufacturer, systems integrator or engineering company.
  • Familiarity with concrete production operations and plant equipment.
  • Knowledge of plant permitting, environmental systems or equipment installation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is:

  • Customer satisfaction and issue resolution. Initial Objectives During the first 90 days, the Regional Vice President will be expected to:
  • Develop a complete regional market and account map.
  • Identify at least 25 priority target accounts.
  • Establish a qualified opportunity pipeline.
  • Build relationships with leading producers and industry organizations.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings and plant visits.
  • Identify immediate plant, upgrade, service and aftermarket opportunities.
  • Present a detailed regional sales plan to executive management. After the territory reaches maturity, the position may carry an annual bookings target of approximately $4 million to $6 million , depending on the region and market conditions.
