Duckstache Hospitality is excited to announce that we are seeking a Sales & Events Manager to join our team. This position offers a starting salary of $60,000.00 annually plus commission. As an employee of Duckstache Hospitality, you are also eligible for our benefits program which includes 15 days of paid time off. Paid time off is immediately available and will be prorated for the remainder of the year. Additionally, you will receive a discount of 95% on dining for yourself and one other guest at all Duckstache Hospitality restaurants. Duckstache Hospitality offers company sponsored health benefits following the completion of a 60-day probationary period. Duckstache Hospitality (Kokoro Sushi and Yakitori, Kokoro Handroll Bar, Handies Douzo, Aiko, Himari, Doko, Bar Doko) Established in 2019 by Chef Daniel Lee and Chef Patrick Pham, along with business partner C.J. Short, Duckstache is a Japanese-focused restaurant group boasting seven chef-driven concepts and 9 locations across Houston. Duckstache introduces innovative culinary experiences that challenge the conventions of traditional Japanese cuisine. Job Purpose: The Sales & Events Manager will be responsible for the overall management of events while supporting proactive sales efforts for all Duckstache Hospitality locations. The Sales & Events Manager will solicit and handle sales opportunities, assisting in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales and event management.
Duties and Responsibilities
: The primary job duties and responsibilities of the Sales & Events Manager include but are not limited to the following:
- Event Planning & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and oversee guest bookings for private and off-site events, collaborating with General Managers and staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Client Relations : Serve as the main contact between clients and event staff, conducting site inspections, tours, and tastings, while maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential clients.
- Event Logistics & Setup: Manage all logistics, including equipment, supplies, and dcor, ensuring the event space is properly set and following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
- Catering: Assist in coordinating and managing large catering orders, ensuring accurate order details, timely preparation, and seamless execution.
- Vendor & Third-Party Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and third-party services for off-site catering, rentals, and other event-related needs.
- Sales & Marketing: Build and strengthen relationships with clients, develop new business opportunities, and oversee marketing efforts for event spaces, including materials like menus and postcards.
- Staff Management : Assist in hiring, training, and managing event staff, ensuring smooth operations during events and maintaining cleanliness of storage and equipment areas.
- Operational Support : Handle administrative aspects of events, such as proposals, contracts, and client communications, while supporting location revenue goals.
- Community Engagement : Maintain a list of local events, communicate them to restaurants, and help manage public and internal events for the group.
- Schedule Flexibility : Be available to work various schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, to meet event and sales demands.

Education and Experience
: Duckstache Hospitality requires the minimum education and experience qualifications to successfully perform the position of Sales & Events Manager. Language:
- Fluent speaking, reading, and writing: English. Spanish preferred but not required.
Qualifications
:
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in use of event management systems, MS Office Suite, and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Working Conditions
: The incumbent will be working in a restaurant setting, on the floor with guests, in the kitchen and dish area. Potential hazards include but are not limited to cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. Physical

: The incumbent is required to stand/walk for long periods of time. Incumbent is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to constantly move around in the restaurant.
