We also cultivate poinsettias and Easter lilies, shipping our products weekly across Savannah, Hilton Head, Beaufort, Charleston, and south to Brunswick. Summary As the Sales Manager at Oelschig Nursery Inc., you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and managing customer relationships within the horticulture sector. This position is a base salary plus commission. This position is vital for enhancing our market presence and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies. Pay is Salary plus commission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
• Train and supervise sales staff
• Monitor market trends and adjust product offerings accordingly.
• Help grow and oversee existing live availability.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers before shipment.
• Resolve customer issues by investigating problems and developing solutions.
• Evaluation of new customer applications.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
• Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales within the horticulture or related industry.
• Strong account management skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• 3 years of Managerial experience (preferably in industry)
• Strong plant knowledge: Annuals and Perennials
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in person and via phone/email.
• Multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work Sundays during the peak season
