Business Development Representative (Behavioral Health / SUD) Full-Time | Field / Hybrid / Remote Opportunities Available

Compensation

: Competitive Base + Incentives | DOE We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative with sales experience in the behavioral health industry to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a proven background in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare sales, admissions, outreach, or referral development , with strong relationship-building skills and an established understanding of the behavioral health landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and grow referral relationships within the behavioral health and healthcare community
• Conduct outreach to treatment centers, hospitals, mental health providers, physicians, attorneys, unions, employers, EAPs, and community organizations
• Identify and cultivate new business development opportunities and strategic partnerships
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of referral and partnership accounts
• Conduct meetings, presentations, networking events, and community outreach activities
• Collaborate closely with admissions, leadership, and operations teams
• Track outreach efforts, account activity, and business development initiatives
• Maintain strong follow-through, communication, and relationship management

Qualifications

Required:

• Business development and/or sales experience within the behavioral health, healthcare, mental health, or substance use treatment industry
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage territory activity, and drive business growth
• Professional, ethical, and solutions-focused mindset Preferred:
• Existing relationships within behavioral health, SUD treatment, healthcare, hospitals, unions, legal, or community networks
• Experience in admissions, outreach, referral development, or healthcare marketing
