When not travelling this role is a full time, office-based position in our Chantilly office. We are seeking a Technical Field Sales Specialist to support our Drug Metabolism product line. This role is responsible for the sale of instrumentation, software, and consumables to pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and contract research organizations conducting drug metabolism studies. The successful candidate will manage and grow customer relationships, respond to inquiries, identify new business opportunities, and support existing accounts across the United States. A key aspect of the role is developing a strong understanding of drug metabolism workflows and becoming a trusted technical resource for customers by building strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Planning and conducting customer visits.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients by phone, email, teams and personal visits
- Arranging remote and in-person meetings.
- Provide sales quotations and technical information on LabLogic products
- Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Managing drug metabolism sales activities nationwide.
- Keeping customer records accurate and up to date using the Company CRM regularly, including brief reports of all visits
- Process sales orders and track them to final completion
- Coordinate activities with our admin and support teams The position requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills, strong initiative and organizational skills, relationship management expertise, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.
Requirements
Essential
- At least 1 year of experience in life sciences in either a laboratory environment, instrumentation sales or consulting.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in life sciences or equivalent.
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 50% of the time. Desirable
- Experience working in the laboratory space or proven sales experience to laboratories
- Knowledge of analytical instrumentation including chromatography (HPLC & GC)
- Experience working in regulated environments with a knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP testing requirements
- Experience or knowledge with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
