Sales Manager Austin, Texas Serve Affluent Families. Lead a High-Performance Sales Team. Drive Meaningful Growth. We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a team of sales professionals serving families throughout the Indianapolis market. This leadership role is ideal for a proven sales professional with experience working with affluent clientele, managing complex and large-value sales opportunities, and developing high-performing teams. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving property and funeral sales growth, coaching and developing advisors, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and building a culture of accountability, performance, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Business Growth
- Lead and develop a team of Sales Counselors to achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Drive year-over-year growth in cemetery property, funeral, and advance planning sales.
- Coach advisors through sophisticated sales opportunities, including large estate, family legacy, and high-net-worth client transactions.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, appointment conversion, lead-to-sale ratios, and overall productivity through Salesforce and CRM reporting.
- Establish clear performance expectations, sales processes, and accountability standards. Team Development & Coaching
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top sales talent.
- Provide ongoing field coaching through observation of prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and closing conversations.
- Deliver timely performance feedback, coaching, and development plans.
- Create individualized growth plans aligned with team members' career aspirations.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement. Client Experience & Service Excellence
- Respond promptly and professionally to escalated client concerns.
- Utilize strong listening, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to resolve complex situations.
- Partner with internal departments to identify solutions and ensure service commitments are fulfilled.
- Maintain a client-first approach while preserving trust, compassion, and professionalism. Operational Leadership
- Analyze sales trends and business metrics to forecast performance and identify opportunities.
- Manage scheduling, staffing coverage, timekeeping compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Build strong partnerships across departments to support organizational goals.
- Lead change initiatives and implement innovative solutions that improve team performance and client experience.
Qualifications
Experience
- 4+ years of successful direct sales experience with a documented history of exceeding sales goals.
- Previous sales leadership or management experience preferred.
- Experience working with affluent clients, consultative selling, and large-ticket transactions strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals.
- Experience using CRM platforms, Salesforce preferred. Skills & Competencies

- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable insurance licensing as required. Work Schedule
Requirements
- Availability to work assigned weekdays, weekends, and holidays is a condition of employment.
- Certain business-critical days, including designated weekdays and holidays, require mandatory management coverage and are not eligible for routine scheduling exceptions.
- Candidates should be comfortable working a flexible schedule that may extend beyond traditional business hours to support team performance and client needs.
Compensation
Base Salary: $60,000 $80,000 Base + Bonus + Commissions Performance-Based Bonus Opportunity: Uncapped earning potential based on team performance and sales results.
