Sales & Design Consultant – Los Angeles
Resource Furniture, leader in high-end Italian-made transforming furniture, is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Sales & Design Consultant to join our team in our Los Angeles Showroom – 314 N Crescent Heights Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048
This is a full time salary plus commission role based in our L.A. Showroom with as needed local travel to clients homes and design firms, industry events, and outreach opportunities required. To best meet the needs of our clients and to achieve and exceed sales targets, the Sales & Design Consultant will work a 5-day per week schedule which includes a Saturday shift.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury sales (ideally within the high-end furniture, kitchen/bath or interior design industry), be results-oriented, have an eye for interior design, and be a natural closer. Be comfortable creating and executing complex customized wall units, wardrobe configurations and media units and have a willingness to participate in site visits, in person with clients when required.
Sales and Consultation:
· Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, and other industry professionals.
· Act as a knowledgeable resource for clients, offering expert advice on our range of furniture, design possibilities, and space optimization solutions.
· Conduct comprehensive product presentations and consultations to showcase the benefits and features of our furniture offerings.
· Understand client requirements, preferences, and budget to provide tailored recommendations and design solutions.
· Negotiate and successfully close sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Expertise:
· Maintain a deep understanding of our company's collection, staying updated with new releases, features, functionality and specifications.
· Continuously expand your knowledge of interior design trends, furniture industry developments, and emerging technologies.
· Conduct thorough research and actively participate in industry events to network and stay informed of competitors' offerings and market dynamics.
Design and Space Planning:
· Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and interior designers to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture layouts.
· Work with drafter to deliver renderings including measurement specifications to clients, ensuring clear communication of design concepts and product requirements.
· Offer innovative design solutions that optimize space utilization, functionality, and visual appeal.
· Learn proprietary CAD software to create 3D design layouts for clients, incorporating our furniture solutions seamlessly into their spaces; partnering with our in-house drafters on more complex designs.
Requirements:
· Extensive sales experience and success within the high-end furniture, kitchen/bath or interior design industry.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and maintain relationships with a diverse clientele.
· Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and effectively translate them into design solutions.
· Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proven track record of closing sales and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client requirements.
· Knowledge of interior design principles and trends.
· Computer proficiency required.
· Knowledge of NetSuite and Excel highly desirable.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefit package including:
· Annual Base Salary: $50,000.00
· Commission Pay: 3% commission on every sale. Commissions are paid out monthly after order placement
· Bonus Pay: Monthly bonus based on both individual sales quota and overall Showroom performance
