Business Development Manager

GWC Restoration Huntsville, AL (Remote / Field Based)

GWC Restoration is a licensed and insured restoration and reconstruction company serving Huntsville, Madison, Harvest, and surrounding North Alabama communities. We specialize in insurance-related restoration including water damage, mold remediation, fire damage reconstruction, and residential remodeling. Our team works closely with insurance agents, property managers, realtors, plumbers, and homeowners to restore properties quickly and professionally. As a growing company, we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to expand our referral network and help grow our mitigation and reconstruction pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, enjoys building relationships, and wants to grow with a small but rapidly expanding company.


Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships that generate new restoration and reconstruction opportunities for the company. Your day-to-day activities will include meeting with insurance agents, plumbers, property managers, realtors, and other referral partners, attending networking events, and identifying opportunities for mitigation and reconstruction projects throughout the Huntsville and North Alabama area. You will spend much of your time in the field developing relationships, visiting referral partners, attending networking meetings, and following up with potential clients. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a system to track outreach activity, meetings, leads, and opportunities, and reporting progress during weekly team meetings. This position is curently largely remote and self-directed, requiring someone who is organized, motivated, and comfortable managing their own schedule. Because we are a growing company, the right candidate may also be willing to assist in other areas of the business when needed and contribute to the overall growth of the team. The ideal candidate is a motivated relationship builder who enjoys networking, generating opportunities, and helping grow a company. This person should be comfortable working independently while also supporting the team and assisting with other company initiatives when needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance agents, plumbers, property managers, realtors, and other referral partners
  • Identify and pursue new mitigation and reconstruction opportunities
  • Attend networking events, chamber meetings, BNI groups, and industry events to generate new leads
  • Conduct in-person visits with referral partners to strengthen relationships and maintain brand presence
  • Track outreach, meetings, leads, and opportunities using the companys sales tracker system
  • Attend weekly team meetings to provide updates on outreach activity, report key metrics, and share upcoming meetings, opportunities, and projects
  • Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth handoff of leads and customer communication
  • Represent the company professionally in the community and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Assist with other business initiatives and operational tasks as needed in a small team environment


Experience

  • 37 years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management
  • Experience in restoration, construction, property services, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, or similar industries preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to build and maintain referral relationships
  • Experience working in a commission-based sales environment preferred


Education

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred but not required. Relevant sales experience will be considered in place of formal education.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary + Commission

Performance bonus opportunities

On target earnings $70,000 $110,000+
