Job Purpose : Our shop technician position is responsible for assembly and testing of automated valve assemblies, repair of valve actuators and controls, shipping and receiving, and general housekeeping. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted, position requiring mechanical and electrical aptitude. This position requires ability to move heavy products and use tools. The candidate must be able to multi-task, work independently but with support. Attention to detail is most important. Job Description & Key Responsibilities: Title : Shop Technician Reports to: Sr. Technician and Vice President Location: Edison, New Jersey *Assembly & Testing: *Pulling inventory, assembly and testing of automated valve assemblies including: electric, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic controls. Repair: Evaluating and repairing valve actuators for customers. Shipping and Receiving: Packing valves, actuators, automated valve assemblies for shipment by UPS, FedEx, LTL Carrier, or our trucks. Receiving material from suppliers. Putting inventory away in warehouse. General Housekeeping: Keeping work areas neat and free of debris.
