Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Working Mechanic / Golf Cart Service Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong golf cart or automotive/small engine knowledge, dealership experience, and excellent customer service skills. This person will work alongside other mechanics on a regular basis and have knowledge of low voltage electrical systems . This leadership role involves managing a team of mechanics/technicians, ensuring quality standards, and providing exceptional service to our customers. The position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic service department within a well-established organization committed to excellence in golf cart maintenance and repair. Duties * Supervise daily operations of the golf cart service department, including scheduling and workflow management as well as working on and diagnosing golf carts. * Oversee maintenance and repair of golf carts, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards * Perform diagnostics and repairs on various golf cart systems including brakes, suspension, tires, oil changes, and engine repairs * Work with the parts department to have parts and necessary for repairs and maintenance * Upsell additional services and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and department revenue * Conduct golf cart inspections and ensure all work meets company specifications and customer requests before going out to the customer. * Provide technical guidance and support to mechanics/technicians and assist with complex diagnostics such as complete engine sway including lithium battery conversion. * Handle customer inquiries professionally; communicate repair estimates and service recommendations effectively * Maintain accurate service writing documentation and recommended repairs to our customers. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment Skills * Proven golf cart experience and or small engine repair / auto mechanic experience and management background * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience in golf cart/ small engine or automotive diagnostics and repairs * Expertise in golf cart maintenance including oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, body repair, and battery charging systems. * Experience in estimating, service writing, service sales, and upselling techniques * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients * Ability to manage a team of mechanics/technicians effectively; leadership skills are essential * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and customer service This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our golf cart maintenance services while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
