Yard Operations Supervisor We are seeking energetic, flexible, motivated person who has knowledge in using, servicing and inspecting small and large pieces of Rental Equipment and Tools. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of a high paced and thriving business. Must be able to take initiative and be self-motivated. Must be able to handle conflict and diffuse the situation. Pay based on experience and level of expertise. Job Purpose: Serves customers by providing well maintained rental items; educating others on how to do preventative maintenance and develop process to improve the day- to-day operations. Duties: * Manage day to day operations * Recruit, train, and develop staff including sales, technicians, mechanics, and logistics * Planning, monitoring and appraising each piece of equipment * Identifying current and future needs that may arise with each piece of equipment * Ensures availability that the equipment (item) will be up and running in a timely manner * Formulates schedules on oil changes and other preventative maintenance on all inventory * Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, clean and organized shop. * Acts as a liaison to logistics, technicians, sales, and mechanics * Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. * Communicates with customer issues while on and off job sites. * On-Site service calls. * Record Keeping * Assists in familiarizing and training customers on equipment and vehicles * Yard Operations Supervisor needs to have strong people management skills, wok well as part of a team, and can work to tight deadlines under pressure. * Communication Skills - Lead will provide clear verbal or written instructions so that the expectations of employee roles are understood * Numerical Abilities - An understanding of finance, databases, and spreadsheets is important to this role, so the lead needs to have strong numeracy skills to carry out these tasks efficiently Schedule: * Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some evening are required.
