Why you'll like it here * Employee-owned (ESOP) + Profit Sharing after eligibility period * Competitive wages based on experience * Strong benefits package for full-time employees * A team that values positive attitude, reliability, and customer-first thinking * Work that matters you'll be the person who helps customers keep projects moving What you'll do * Help customers and contractors at the inside counter answer questions, find solutions * Build and fulfill orders using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system * Take phone orders and coordinate deliveries * Recommend products, help locate inventory, and assist with loading as needed * Support inventory control keep things accurate and organized * Prepare simple estimates for material lists or small projects * Pitch in on other tasks as needed we're a team, not a silo What we're looking for * Valid Wisconsin driver 's license with a clean driving record * High School Diploma / GED * Ability to read and understand invoices, packing slips, and shipping/receiving paperwork * Strong customer service and communication skills * Comfortable multitasking and coordinating with customers, contractors, and teammates * Basic computer and calculator proficiency * Ability to lift and carry 20 -100 lbs. at times * CDL not required but preference given to applicants with a CDL Pay and schedule * Full-time wages commensurate with experience How to apply Apply through Indeed, or stop by Nelson Lumber & Home, Inc. in Hayward to pick up an application.
