Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Medical Representative to join our healthcare sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, with a proven track record in B2B sales and customer relationship management. As a Medical Representative, you will be responsible for promoting our products to healthcare professionals, providing detailed product demonstrations, and establishing long-term partnerships with medical institutions. Your expertise in technical sales, negotiation, and account management will be essential in driving product adoption and expanding our market presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve targets within assigned territories, focusing on building relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations to educate medical professionals about the features, benefits, and proper usage of our pharmaceutical or medical devices.
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and proactive outreach, including outside sales activities.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients to secure mutually beneficial deals while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
- Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries promptly, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and technical support to develop tailored solutions for clients' needs.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback using organizational skills and CRM tools.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting medical sales.
- Deliver training sessions or product demos to healthcare staff to enhance their understanding of our offerings.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and professional events to expand network opportunities. Experience
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales with a strong emphasis on B2B interactions.
- Demonstrated success in outside sales environments with a focus on technical or medical products.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities to influence decision-makers effectively.
- Experience in account management and developing long-term client relationships within the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in analysis skills to interpret market data and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite including Word for documentation, PowerPoint for presentations, and Excel for data analysis is essential.
- Previous leadership experience or the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices is highly desirable.
