As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be the first point of contact for new opportunities, turning inbound interest and warm outreach into qualified leads for our Sales team. You will also have opportunities within existing partnerships and will conduct cold outreach to continue to raise awareness of all the products and services McGuire has to offer. You'll combine curiosity, hustle, and genuine relationship-building and account management to help businesses find the right fit within our breadth of components and engineering solutions. This position reports to the Manager of Business Development and works alongside the Director of Marketing, the Director of Corporate Sales, and our Corporate Branch Managers Responsibilities: * Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails * Nurture warm customer relationships to build awareness of our products * Represent our company to potential clients as their first point of contact * Qualify client needs and suggest appropriate products or services * Proactively seek new and existing business opportunities in the market * Schedule 10-12 meetings or calls a month between prospects and Sales Executives * Stay up to date with new products and services - may attend industry tradeshows THIS POSITION IS A GOOD FIT IF THE FOLLOWING RESONATES WITH YOU: EXPERIENCE * Knowledge of power transmission component products and services is a plus, but not a requirement. * Sales experience in the power transmission, technology, or SaaS industries or previous experience in a Sales, incentive based position. * Software experience - ideally with Google Suite, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, and Asana SKILLS + OTHER ATTRIBUTES * Advanced organizational skills * Ego-free and coachable * Strong communication skills via phone and email * Assertive with a strong sense of personal responsibility * Self-motivated with a drive for excellence * Humility and a desire to serve others THIS POSITION IS NOT A GOOD FIT IF YOU * Are uncomfortable initiating contact through cold calling or email follow-up * Are easily frustrated and demotivated by unresponsive contacts * Prefer to work sales opportunities through to completion, independent of others BENEFITS * Health/Vision and Dental Insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts * 401k matching * Competitive pay: $50,000 base + variable commission + annual profit sharing Please note that this position is on-site in Portland, OR, 5 days a week.
