Required Qualifications: * 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in solar energy, construction, or related fields. * Strong familiarity with solar PV and battery storage systems. * Proven experience building, managing, and leading solar sales teams. * Strong understanding of PPA structures, escalators, contract terms, and homeowner value propositions. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills. * Ability to manage a pipeline independently and use CRM tools effectively. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel throughout the Bay Area. * High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience scaling a PPA sales organization beyond initial team size. * Prior experience working with national or regional TPO finance partners (e.g., PPA or lease providers). * Familiarity with solar-plus-storage programs within TPO structures. * NABCEP or other industry certifications (preferred, not required). * Bilingual (English/Spanish or other common Bay Area languages). Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Residential TPO Division Leader to build and lead our Third-Party Owned (TPO) solar division in California, modeled after SunRun-style Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) programs. This role is sales- driven and focused on recruiting, training, and managing a high-performing residential solar sales team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience selling or managing PPA-based solar programs and has successfully built and scaled sales teams in the California residential solar market. Key Responsibilities: * Recruit, build, train, and manage an initial team of 3-5 residential solar sales consultants, with responsibility to scale the team over time. * Develop and execute sales strategies specific to third-party owned solar products, including PPAs and solar leases. * Own sales performance, forecasting, and pipeline management for the TPO division. * Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance management to ensure consistent sales execution and ethical sales practices. * Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, installation partners, finance providers, and legal/compliance teams. * Ensure all sales activities comply with California regulations, including CPUC consumer protection requirements, CSLB disclosures, and licensing standards. * Oversee proposal accuracy, contract execution, and proper customer disclosures throughout the sales process. * Monitor KPIs such as close rates, cycle time, customer satisfaction, and team productivity. * Work with marketing to improve lead quality and conversion for TPO offerings.
