Job Summary

Shooters Waterfront is seeking an energetic and personable Event & Catering Sales Coordinator. This hourly position is responsible for selling, coordinating, and planning events through direct sales and inbound lead follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, coordinate, schedule, and prepare Banquet Event Orders for Corporate and Social clients.
• Guide clients in planning their events by assisting them in the selection of their vendors, menus, and floor plan.
• Create and foster relationships with local Event Planners and destination management clientele.
• Attend weekly BEO meetings with FOH & BOH Management to review all aspects of the upcoming events.
• Work closely with Executive Chef and Banquet team to assure 100% success for each event.
• Inform all necessary departments of any function changes.
• Conduct venue/property tours with potential clients.
• Coordinate delivery/set up with vendors.
• Schedule weekly events with Valet/Dock vendor.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, communication with co-workers and clients, and planning and event management skills, resulting in repeat clients, positive social media reviews, and referrals.
• Be a creative thinker, suggesting solutions to obstacles in real time.
• Conduct post-event follow-up with clients.
• Ensure guest satisfaction from lead inception until the event finishes.
• Ensure proper client billing and collection.
• Consistently strive to exceed clients' expectations.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

& Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus and preferred.
• Previous hotel or restaurant (Food & Beverage) sales background preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate effective leadership.
• Highly organized with strong time, event management, and multitasking skills.
• Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) is a plus and preferred.
• Ability to close deals and follow through until the event date.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• TripleSeat CRM platform experience is a plus and preferred.
• Open Table platform experience is a plus and preferred.
• Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.
