Job overview We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team at our pawnshop. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members will contribute to a positive and efficient customer experience. Women are preferred for this role , and bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly encouraged to apply. Commission for sales is included! Responsibilities * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions. * Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. * Assist in organizing and displaying items in the store to ensure a well-organized and appealing environment. * Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new or featured items. * Use phone etiquette to answer customer inquiries and provide professional assistance over the phone. * Apply retail math skills to handle cash management accurately and efficiently. * Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment. * Earn commission on sales made, with opportunities to increase earnings based on performance. Requirements * Previous experience in a retail or cashier role is preferred, but not mandatory. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. * Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. * Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; training will be provided for the right candidate. * Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. * Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer calls professionally. * Willingness to learn about products and engage in upselling techniques.
