The Director of Sales (DOS) is responsible for managing sales and business operations within their assigned regional territory. The DOS manages a team of Regional Sales Managers, each of which has sales and support responsibility for their assigned geographical territory. Qualifications: * Sales executive with ten or more years of sales and territory management experience and at least two years working in a sales staff management capacity. * Proven leadership, ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach. * Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills. * Ability and willingness to travel extensively via air and automobile. * Self-motivated; capable of working without direct supervision. * Accept and benefit from constructive criticism. Responsibilities: * Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals. * Ensure that both top-line objectives and expense budget objectives are managed and met. * Work directly with the Vice President of International Sales to establish strategies, tactics, and go-to-market plans for the entire company's sales. * Maintain a high level of communication with direct reports and work with other departments to ensure overall company success. * Develop, maintain, and improve business relations with our customers. * Keep leadership informed by preparing, reviewing, and submitting activity, regional reports, pipeline reports, and regional analyses. * Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to leadership. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. * Observes and adheres to DMP Data Classification Standard. * Conduct daily business and represent DMP following published company Mission & Values and in compliance with all company policies and departmental guidelines.
