Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering knowledgeable recommendations and conducting product demos when appropriate
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain store merchandising standards by organizing displays, ensuring products are well-presented.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support the store's merchandising strategies to attract customers and boost sales performance

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and standing for extended periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in a grocery environment is advantageous but not required
