Key Account Manager - National Accounts (Bilingual) Location: Miami, FL or Houston, TX Industry: Food & Beverage | Grocery Retail
Compensation
: Up to $110,000 base + up to $20,000 annual bonus Travel: Up to 30%
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager - National Accounts to lead and grow strategic relationships with major U.S. grocery retailers and distributors. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong national account experience , deep knowledge of the U.S. grocery landscape , and the ability to navigate multicultural and cross-border business environments. You will own end-to-end account strategy--from joint business planning and negotiations to execution and performance management--while serving as a trusted partner to some of the largest retail customers in the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage commercial relationships with major national and regional grocery retailers and key distributors
- Lead joint business planning , including promotional strategy, category growth initiatives, and quarterly business reviews
- Negotiate assortments, pricing, promotions, and trade terms to drive revenue and margin growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
- Analyze syndicated data and retailer-specific reporting to inform forecasting, strategy, and performance tracking
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts while supporting expansion into new channels or regions
- Travel up to 30% to customer headquarters, key markets, and industry trade shows Accounts & Customers You'll Support Experience working with one or more of the following is strongly preferred :
- Major U.S. Grocery Retailers (e.g., national and regional chains)
- Key Distributors such as natural, conventional, and specialty grocery distributors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus)
- 5+ years of Key Account Management experience within grocery retail or food & beverage
- Proven experience managing national or large regional retail accounts
- Strong understanding of retailer systems, promotional planning, and trade spend
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Bilingual: English & Spanish required
- Highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Highly Preferred Background
- Experience transitioning from LATAM to U.S. retail , or managing U.S. national accounts with a strong multicultural focus
- Experience selling food or beverage brands into major U.S. grocery chains Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
