Position Summary: The Design Consultant / Sales Representative plays a key role in helping homeowners reimagine and improve their bath and shower spaces. This role combines in-home design consultation with relationship-based selling to educate customers, build trust, and close sales. You'll meet with qualified leads, assess their needs, guide them through design and product options, and present clear, professional estimates. Success in this role requires empathy, strong communication, and a drive to help customers make confident, informed decisions. Job Responsibilities: * Promote and carry out company Core Values. * Conduct in-home consultations to assess customer needs and present MODbath solutions * Guide homeowners through bath and shower design options, ensuring function, safety, and aesthetics * Build rapport and trust through clear communication, product knowledge, and professionalism * Create and present detailed project estimates with financing options when applicable * Close sales by effectively communicating value and overcoming objections * Manage follow-up communication and maintain accurate records in CRM * Collaborate with the installation and production team to ensure smooth project handoff * Participate in ongoing training to maintain deep product knowledge and improve sales effectiveness * Meet or exceed monthly performance goals Work Hours: The working hours for the Design Consultant are standard with some variability. Typically, standard business hours will include 9AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. During peak seasons or major projects, internal or external, longer hours may be necessary, including evenings and weekends. Desired Experience and Skills: * 2+ years of in-home or consultative sales experience (home remodeling, bathrooms, exteriors, etc. preferred) * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly * Comfortable presenting high-ticket solutions and overcoming objections with confidence * Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to close sales * Experience working independently, ideally in a contractor or commission-only environment * Ability to read customer needs and tailor design recommendations accordingly * Familiarity with CRM tools and digital estimating platforms (e.g., HubSpot, OneClick Contractor, etc.) * Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for in-home client interactions * Basic understanding of home construction or remodeling projects is a plus Additional Requirements: * Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record * Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting sample kits and marketing materials * Willingness to undergo a background check prior to contracting * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (e.g., product samples or marketing displays) * Availability to meet with customers during evenings and weekends as needed * Must carry a professional appearance and represent MODbath with integrity in customer homes * Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States * Must maintain appropriate personal insurance coverage (e.g., auto, general liability preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
