Job Title: *Sales Representative Overview: The Sales Representative is an essential role that reports to the Regional Sales Manager. This position will serve as the primary contact for our customers throughout the region. * Safety Expectations:* All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others. Responsibilities/Job Duties: * Build and maintain strong customer relations * Anticipate customer needs to provide expert industry road preservation solutions * Develop an effective sales plan for designated territory including market needs assessment, competitive assessment, sales forecast, and support as needed * Strong working knowledge of municipal bid documents and specifications * Understanding of state and local funding programs and bid documents * Engage in state and local customer association events * Develop customer proposals and schedule projects to ensure deadlines are met * Accompany Operations team at jobsite to ensure project accuracy * Maintain a balanced relationship between Suit-Kote and the customer * Coordinate, organize, and participate in promotional and educational customer events * Attend municipal board meetings to present/educate pavement preservation techniques and value * Create customer project information in internal software system Perform other duties as assigned * Required Skills/Abilities: * Communicate in a cooperative, respectful, and professional manner * Strong relationship building skills * Strong communication skills, both oral and written * Efficient time management skills * Coordinate with Operations and Technical Service Departments * Ability to work independently * Project management experience * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite * 5-10 years of industrial sales or operations experience, preferably in civil construction or pavement preservation. * Attend all safety required training sessions * Valid motor vehicle license * Passing of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted * High school graduate or equivalent experience required * Ability to travel as required within assigned territory (5% overnight travel) * Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift 20 pounds * Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements * Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present * Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting * Salary Range:* $60,000- $65,000 / Year * Additional Duties: This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed.
