Overview

Our flooring store is looking for a friendly, dedicated Sales Associate to join our team. We take pride in offering a warm, welcoming environment and personalized service to our customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping customers find the right flooring solutions and contributing to the success of our close-knit team. This role is essential in delivering a positive shopping experience and building lasting relationships with our customers.

Duties

• Provide exceptional, personalized customer service by welcoming customers, answering questions, and guiding them through product options.
• Assist customers in selecting flooring materials, explaining features and benefits, and helping them make informed decisions.
• Keep the showroom neat, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring displays are appealing and up-to-date.
• Process transactions accurately using our POS system.
• Assist in order organization and product availability for customers' pick up or delivery.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of store policies.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and a helpful attitude.
• Collaborate closely with our small team to reach sales goals and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail or customer service is a plus, though a great attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for handling cash, managing transactions, and light inventory tracking.
• Experience with Quickbooks is helpful.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently, as needed.
• Attention to detail to keep displays and inventory organized and visually appealing.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling light lifting of products.
• A positive, customer-focused attitude.
