Marinko's Desserts is a rapidly advancing startup in the raw, plant-based dessert space, known for pushing past the usual boundaries of the category. We are seeking a Farmers ' Market Sales Associate who brings intensity, grit, and a presence that cannot be ignored. This isn't a cozy Sunday gig -- most people tap out fast. Role: Farmers' Market Sales Associate Location: Palo Alto Farmers' Market Schedule: Sundays, 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM Pay: $30+/hour (base OR commission -- whichever ends up higher) Sales is an art form, a performance, and if you give people a great show, you will get paid. Responsibilities * Driving aggressive, consistent sales of our raw, plant-based desserts in a crowded farmers market environment. * Handing out samples with purpose and clearly explaining what makes our desserts stand apart from typical sweets. * Becoming the dominant, unmistakable presence at our booth -- crisp, bold, and constantly interacting. * Pulling in foot traffic the moment someone walks by, operating with the sharpness of an experienced brand rep. * Processing cash and card transactions with precision. * Maintaining a clean, organized, and high-impact booth from start to finish. Ideal Candidate * Comfortable standing 5-6 hours and performing in shifting outdoor conditions. * Someone who naturally captures attention in public, event, or vendor-type settings. * Competitive, persistent, and driven to surpass expectations without hand-holding. * Direct, engaging, and absolutely unafraid to start conversations with strangers. * Handles rejection cleanly and immediately moves to the next opportunity. * Deeply aligned with organic, plant-based foods, wellness, and conscious nutrition. * Understands that farmers markets and live sampling demand timing, charisma, and steady output. * And, above all, you are passionate about clean eating and educating yourself and our customers about healthy nutrition. * A morning person with real stamina and initiative.
