We commit to being an anti-ism workplace and embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our business. * Job Summary The Account Associate provides timely response to clients' requests for products, services and/or information. They are the primary point-of-contact for coordinating project activities including specification development, proposal development, scheduling services, project status updates and oversight of installation for projects. The Account Associate may be assigned to support Account Managers on large projects as well as be assigned to work on smaller projects independently. The Account Associate is responsible for project and daily work order activities and complete client satisfaction for their team's accounts. * Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Produce detailed, accurate and professional looking quotes to be presented to the client in a timely manner * Ensure consistency of costs and sell amounts for all products and services based on contract pricing, gross margin guidelines and established service pricing * Assist Account Manager to define project design approach and furniture solutions for projects * Responsible for "cost-of-sale" against client purchases * Attend meetings as needed with Account Managers and designer to identify initial scope of work and intent * Ensure documentation standards are maintained for all assigned account activities; ensure dealership process and procedures are followed * Ensure a responsible close of sale by obtaining signed client approval documents (signed purchase orders/proposals, typical, finish schedules, etc.) and deposits as required * Review and proof order prior to release to manufacturers for basic information (ship to, bill to, contract number, etc.), accuracy and completeness * Work with vendors and internal project teams to reconcile acknowledgement discrepancies and manage timely ship dates based on project requirements * Manage and publish client status reports as needed * Coordinate delivery/install dates with vendors, Operations, clients and Project Managers (depending on work scope) * Follow-up on punch list, communicate with vendors, expedite and coordinate follow up service through project completion * Stay involved throughout project implementation to ensure that any bottlenecks or changes in scope are identified and resolved, and that both client and dealership are satisfied * Work collaboratively with client and client's third-party firms, including A&D firms, general contractors, electrical and communication engineers, client's IT group, etc. * Resolve discrepancies with invoicing to insure timely payment and project completion with client * Serve as a hub of communication and information to other cross- functional teams (Design, Project Management, Finance and Operations) * Participate in product and professional training programs and activities for on-going growth and development * Partner with New Business Development/Account Executives to respond to requests for information, pricing and/or services * Supervisory Responsibilities * None * Skills, Knowledge, Experience Required * Capacity to learn and use dealership business system and other industry-specific technologies at advanced levels * Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Independently manage sales transactions * Practical working knowledge of contract furniture systems and products preferred * Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment * Excellent and effective at oral and written communication * Strong organizational, analytical and administrative skills * Ability to see the big picture and integrate into day-to-day tasks and activities * Understanding of the complexities and sophistication required to thrive in the dealer environment * Fluid interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of customers, personnel and departments * Strong customer service skills and experience with customer account management * Experience with Dealership business systems preferred * Furniture product specification knowledge preferred * Background in customer service * Interior design background a plusInsideSource
