Overview OrCon Industries Corp has been a leader in industrial packaging for over 30 years, offering custom designed packaging solutions to our customers. Based out of LeRoy, NY, we provide packaging solutions to customers from Buffalo to Rochester to Syracuse. We are experiencing exciting growth opportunities and are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Account Manager to join our team. This role is essential in expanding our client base, nurturing existing accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic business development. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your sales expertise in a fast-paced, innovative environment focused on technology solutions and B2B sales. Responsibilities * Develop and execute strategic sales plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories or markets. * Manage and grow existing client accounts by providing exceptional service and tailored solutions. * Conduct warm calling and outreach to potential clients, establishing initial contact and nurturing leads through the sales funnel. * Present product offerings, demonstrations, and proposals effectively to meet client needs. * Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals that align with company objectives. * Submit RFQs to estimating for new products; work closely with Engineering and Estimating to obtain accurate drawings/dimensions for new products and revisions to current products. * Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies relevant to our product portfolio. * Ensure the timely and successful delivery of product according to customer needs and objectives. * Provide ongoing account management support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree preferred; a combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. * Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management within manufacturing. * Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex deals. * Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences. * Knowledge of packaging materials, including but not limited to wood products, foam materials, corrugated products. * Experience in leadership roles or team collaboration is a plus. * Ability to conduct warm calling effectively while maintaining professionalism and persistence. * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges. This position is ideal for ambitious sales professionals eager to make an impact in a growing company by leveraging their negotiation prowess, technical knowledge, and relationship-building skills to achieve outstanding results. Schedule * This is a FT position with flexible schedule aligned to business needs, customer availability, and sales objectives. The employee is expected to be generally available during standard business hours (Mon-Fri), though daily start and end times may vary. * Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate client meetings, trade shows, or events. * The employee is responsible for managing their schedule effectively to meet sales goals and performance expectations. Supplemental Pay * Bonus * Commission Work Location * The employee's role is primarily field based, operating within an assigned territory rather than a fixed office location. * Regular travel is an essential function of the role and may include local, regional, and occasional overnight travel. * Periodic visits to the company's office will be required for meetings, trainings, or administrative purposes.
