Full description of the position
Corporate Sales Manager (Hospitality) Titan Hotel Group is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Corporate Sales Manager. The ideal Corporate Sales Manager candidate must possess extensive knowledge of hotel operations, a positive attitude, strong prospecting skills, and work with little or no supervision. The Corporate Sales Manager is also expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees, as well as participate in community activities, and therefore must be able to work well with others. This candidate must embody professionalism and have the keen ability to multi- task in a fast-paced environment. The right individual will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and be able to demonstrate strong decision- making capabilities and strategizing skills. Duties and Responsibilities: * Directly responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals as established by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and/or General Manager. * Provide strategic sales and revenue direction for the purpose of driving top line revenue and growing market share. * Quickly develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to set proactive strategies. * Ability to effectively network and represent the company and hotel at both community and industry led events. * Capture, maintain and grow Global and Local Account partnerships. * Prompt handling of corporate inquiry calls as they come into the hotel. * Ability to make outside sales and solicitation calls to obtain corporate business. * Ability to evaluate a potential piece of business for profitability and overall benefit to the hotel. * Knowledge of revenue management procedures and how it impacts the hotel, and the ability to effectively make decisions based on market trends. * Effectively communicate client needs to the operations team to ensure guest satisfaction. * Operate the Sales Department within the established sales expense budget. * Prepare weekly activity report to include all financial booking performance and personal call reports for active solicitation performed. Corporate Sales Manager Job Requirements: The right candidate for this position will be able to perform all duties satisfactorily, leading to sales and revenue growth within the hotel. It is important to remember that the hotel operates 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and be able to adjust accordingly. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Proactive work ethic * "Do it now" approach * Demonstrated closing skills * Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to understand and analyze industry leading reports on a weekly and monthly basis (i.e., STR reports) Position Experience and Requirements: * Bachelor's degree preferred * High school diploma or equivalent education/experience required * Two or more years of hotel sales experience required , or equivalent combination of education and experience * Knowledge of FOSSE, MARSHA, OnQ and STS preferred * Prompt and regular attendance * Current and valid driver's license * Overnight travel as necessary * Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook Note: This job description in no way states of implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. 7. This hotel operates seven (7) days a week and twenty- four (24) hours per day. All employees both management and hourly must realize this fact and be willing to hold a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
