About Select Gourmet Foods We're a specialty food distributor focused on authentic, imported Italian and Mediterranean products. Our mission is simple: supply Miami's best restaurants with ingredients that match their standards. We're connected to established distribution operations and launching in Miami to serve a market that deserves better specialty food options. We're hiring our first sales representative to build relationships with Miami's best restaurants and grow the territory from scratch. This is a ground-floor opportunity. What We Sell Premium imported products including: * Italian DOP cheeses - Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano, Gorgonzola * Buffalo Mozzarella di Campania * Cured meats - Prosciutto di Parma, Prosciutto San Daniele, Mortadella, Coppa, Guanciale * 100% Iberico de Bellota from Spain (acorn-fed, the real deal) * San Marzano DOP tomatoes * Caputo 00 flour * Artisan pasta * Premium olive oils and aged balsamic vinegar * Bindi frozen desserts and Italian pastries * Argentinian beef What You'll Do * Develop new restaurant accounts through cold calling, walk-ins, and tastings * Build real relationships with chefs, owners, and buyers * Conduct product presentations and sampling at restaurants * Manage your territory: Coral Gables, South Beach, Brickell, Coconut Grove, Design District, Wynwood, MiMo, Downtown Miami * Grow accounts by expanding the products they buy from us * Provide feedback on what the market wants Who We're Looking For Required: * Sales experience, preferably selling to restaurants or in the food/hospitality industry * Comfortable with cold calling and in-person prospecting * Self-motivated - you manage your own schedule and deliver results * Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license * Based in Miami area Strongly Preferred: * Existing relationships with Miami chefs and restaurant buyers * Knowledge of Italian or Mediterranean cuisine * Foodservice sales background (distributor, manufacturer, broker) We'll Also Consider: * Restaurant industry veterans (chefs, managers, sommeliers) looking to move into sales * Wine or beverage reps who want to add food to their portfolio * Hungry people with sales ability who will learn the products Why This Role * Sell products worth selling - Chefs get excited when they taste what we have * No corporate bureaucracy - Work directly with ownership, decisions happen fast * Build something - This is the ground floor, not a cog in a machine * Flexible schedule - Results matter, not hours in a seat * Growth potential - As we grow, so does your role and earnings * Sample budget - We invest in tastings that win accounts How to Apply Send your resume and answer these three questions: * What's your experience selling to restaurants or working in the food industry? * Do you have existing relationships with any Miami restaurants?
