Position Overview We are looking for a highly experienced Sales Manager with a technical background -- either through education or professional experience -- who can lead a small sales team, grow revenue, manage distributors and partners, negotiate contracts on behalf of the company, and travel as needed to support business objectives. The ideal candidate has corporate and startup experience , thrives in a goal-oriented environment, and brings proven strategies for closing deals and building strong sales channels. Key Responsibilities * Lead, mentor, and manage a small sales team, providing coaching, training, and performance development. * Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. * Implement effective closing strategies and sales techniques across the team. * Manage and grow distributor and partner relationships, ensuring alignment with company goals and market expansion. * Advocate for the company during contract negotiations, including key clauses and terms that affect revenue and risk. * Travel approximately 30% of the time to meet with partners, distributors, and key clients. * Track sales performance metrics and provide insights and reporting to leadership. * Collaborate with product and marketing teams to identify market opportunities and improve sales effectiveness. * Recruit, onboard, and develop new sales talent as the team grows. Qualifications * Bachelor 's degree required, preferably in a technical field (engineering, computer science, IT, or related). * Minimum 7 years of sales experience , including at least 3 years managing and growing a sales team. * Experience in both corporate and startup environments. * Proven success in driving revenue growth, setting and achieving sales goals. * Demonstrated ability to manage distributor and partner relationships effectively. * Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate for the company in contract discussions. * Comfortable with approximately 30% travel for partner and client engagement. * Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills. * Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Nice to Have * Experience building or scaling sales teams. * Track record of developing channel sales strategies and partner programs. * Experience negotiating contracts with partners or distributors.
