Full description of the position

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated, and detail-oriented Ocean Export Forwarding Sales Person to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible to build our book of business, have knowledge about the shipping/logistics industry, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics with a focus on customer relationship management. Experience is required. Knowledge of ocean tariff filings is also required.

Duties
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, suppliers, and customers to facilitate smooth operations and enhance service quality.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities within the logistics sector. Skills
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation management principles.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management techniques to foster positive client interactions.
  • Sales experience is required.
  • Familiarity with inside sales practices within the logistics industry.
  • Understanding of carrier sales strategies to negotiate favorable terms with shipping providers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and partners.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Computer knowledge and Excel knowledge
