Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate supports customers in selecting flooring products that best meet their needs, ensuring a positive in-store experience and contributing to overall sales performance. This role involves providing guidance on hard surface flooring, carpets, rugs, and accessories while maintaining a strong customer service focus. Success in this role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and an interest in helping customers enhance their living spaces. Duties * Greet customers and introduce them to product lines, store promotions, and showroom offerings. * Assist customers in choosing flooring solutions that best match their style, budget, and practical needs. * Generate estimates based on customer requirements and accurate room measurements. * Explain product features, installation processes, timelines, and available financing options. * Perform store opening and closing duties in accordance with company policies. * Complete customer orders and coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and installation. * Handle post-installation questions or concerns and provide effective solutions. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using computer systems and point-of-sale software. * Participate in regular product and sales training sessions to maintain knowledge and skill levels. * Assist in merchandising tasks such as pricing and maintaining the overall look and feel of the showroom Skills * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. * Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of retail math concepts. * Proficiency in POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. * Ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately during transactions. * Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on building relationships with shoppers. * Experience in merchandising and stocking products efficiently. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
