Full description of the position

Mountain Service is a Full Line Convenience Store Distributor who is seeking a Route Sales Team Member for its New York territory centrally located out of the Rochester area with extensive driving to other areas such as Buffalo, Munnsville, Syracuse and others. The person must live in or near this Rochester area, as that will be the driving area where their sales route, begins daily. * The sales team member will be issued a company vehicle, cell phone, printer/scanner, and iPad and they will be responsible for a lot of driving to customers already setup on their sales route to take their orders and transmit those orders on the company iPad, as well as sell them on new products and programs. They will use the company cell phone to communicate with the office. * They will have the opportunity to continue to grow that route by securing new customers. Position Responsibilities * Replenishing the customers inventory weekly by taking the customer's orders (in person on their route) and transmitting those orders by the daily cut off times to our warehouse. * Visit Mobile Ordering customers weekly to expand sales. * Collect payments daily for the customer's previous week's order and deposit those collections into our bank account. * Understand each customer's needs to provide real, effective solutions. * Deliver exceptional customer service. * Upselling customers on new products and deals to increase their profits. * Actively manage and grow a dedicated sales territory. * Be motivated to look for leads who may be interested in converting into customers along your route. * Cold calling in person and following up in a timely manner. * Daily reporting and communications via scanned paperwork and emails completed and submitted by end of day. * Be a self-starter * Time management * Be organized * Prior experience in sales, previous convenience store experience is a PLUS! Minimum Requirements * Excellent communication, problem-solving, negotiation and presentation skills are a must. * 4-year degree preferred, but not required. * Ability to identify, qualify and open new accounts. * Ability to driver extensively 5 days a week. * Ability to do basic math and percentages. * Team Player.
