We are a communications company since 1978 looking for a Purchasing Asssitant to quote and order merchandise based on our company's sales of two-way radios and equipment. Responsabilities include quoting new sales opportunities through inbound local mostly Government calls and emails. Enterinf orders, following up, tracking deliveries and updating our Quicbooks accounting software accordingly. Self-motivation abd organizational skills are required with basic computer knowledge of Quickbooks, Email (Google), Word and Excel. We will fully train on our product line and while most of the work will be adminstative and purchasing, there is a potential for growth within department and/or the company. DESCRIPTION : * Quoting new sales. * Ordering parts and equipment. * Entering orders in accounting software. * Tracking orders. RESPONSIBILITIES : * Monitor inventory and enter orders. * Keep current contracts up to date. * Cost analyses from different vendors. * Track orders and follow-up as needed. * Update QuickBooks. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: * Highschool Degree. * Work experience in similar role or equivalent job type.* Excellent phone etiquette. * Basic knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and Google Email. * Good understanding of office procedures. * Maintain a high standard of professionalism in verbal and written communications. * Organizational skill is mandatory to maintain orders incoming and outbound. * Expected to maintain customer base and daily response to email, fax or other customer communications. * Experience with accounting type software (QuickBooks Preferred). * Bilingual English and Spanish is a must.
