Landscape Design & Sales Position (Entry Level) Pay: $40,000 - $50,000 per year Job Type: Full-time Location: Rochester, NY 14626 (In person) Van Putte Gardens is an award-winning landscape and garden center specializing in high-end residential and commercial landscape projects throughout Western New York. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, entry-level individual to join our growing team in an entry level Landscape Design & Sales role. This position offers hands- on training and cross-functional experience, with a clear path for growth into an independent landscape designer within 1-3 years. Responsibilities * Train under an experienced designer/landscape coordinator to create proposals, drawings, and customer contracts * Assist with estimating project budgets, labor, and material costs * Communicate with customers regarding project timelines and landscape inquiries * Support office operations including scheduling, billing, cost tracking, and data entry * Assist with garden center operations as needed during peak seasons (cashiering, stocking, marketing, and clerical support) * Learn plant materials in nursery and perennial departments Qualifications Required: * Associate degree in landscape design, horticulture, or a related field * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in landscape design, horticulture, or related field * Familiarity with plant materials * Experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, Photoshop, or similar design software * Prior landscape design or sales experience (not required; training provided) Benefits * Health insurance * Paid time off * SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with employer match * Employee discount Schedule * Day shift, 8-hour shifts * Weekend availability required during peak seasons Work Location * In person at Rochester, NY 14626 * Must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to start date Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Application Question(s): * Do you have any AutoCAD experience? * Is your Associate degree in landscape design, horticulture, or a related field?
