Overview
Extron is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales & Business Development to drive our growth in the contract manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels at executing initiatives from client prospecting to contract execution including building and managing a robust sales pipeline, developing strategic partnerships, and representing Extron at industry events. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven record in contract manufacturing sales, able to work cross-functionally to align proposals, onboard partners, and evangelize the Extron brand in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Building: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities to ensure a steady flow of prospects and deals.
- Proposal & Deal Alignment: Develop tailored proposals, ensuring alignment with both client needs and Extron's business goals. Drive negotiations to secure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Partner Development: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key partners, identifying opportunities for joint growth and market expansion.
- Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts with clients and partners, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Brand Evangelism: Represent Extron at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand visibility and establish thought leadership8.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business development strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in contract manufacturing sales or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success in building and closing a robust sales pipeline in a B2B environment.
- Strong experience in partner development, contract negotiation, and onboarding processes.
- Deep understanding of distribution strategies and channel management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to represent a company at trade shows and industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Desired Skills
