Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER Reports to: General Manager Type: Exempt Essential Job Duties: The essential job duties referenced above are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required. * Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople * Coach salespeople on best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance * Oversee all activities occurring in the vehicle showroom * Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas * Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review * Step in to answer customer questions and issues when required * Maintain a strong focus on satisfaction of all customers * Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and adhere to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy * Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors * Participate and keep up to date with on the job training and continuing education required by Manufacturers, Vendors and other outside sources as requested by Management Additional Skills: * Equipment Maintenance, Lifting, Problem Solving, Reporting Research Results, Quality Focus, Productivity, Estimating, Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Problem Solving, Safety Management Desired Qualifications: * High school diploma/GED required * Bachelor's degree or 3+ years experience * Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Ability to communicate well with customers and managers * Willingness to participate in in-house and outside training Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job: * Working with and near moving/running mechanical parts * Noise level in the work environment - moderate * Lifting - low to moderate * Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling - low to moderate Bending, reaching, pushing, pulling - moderate Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Employee discount * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Vision insurance Experience: * Used Car: 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
