Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER Reports to: General Manager Type: Exempt Essential Job

Duties

: The essential job duties referenced above are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required.

• Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a team of automotive salespeople
• Coach salespeople on best practices and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance
• Oversee all activities occurring in the vehicle showroom
• Set sales goals, track progress, and lead team to achieve and exceed those quotas
• Forecast sales for upcoming months and quarters and compile the necessary reports for dealership management to review
• Step in to answer customer questions and issues when required
• Maintain a strong focus on satisfaction of all customers
• Ensure that all employees follow their assigned work schedules and adhere to the absenteeism, reporting and tardiness policy
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors
• Participate and keep up to date with on the job training and continuing education required by Manufacturers, Vendors and other outside sources as requested by Management Additional Skills:
• Equipment Maintenance, Lifting, Problem Solving, Reporting Research Results, Quality Focus, Productivity, Estimating, Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Problem Solving, Safety Management Desired

Qualifications

:

• High school diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years experience
• Extensive knowledge of automotive industry and parts
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate well with customers and managers
• Willingness to participate in in-house and outside training
