Post Closing Collateral and Junior Transaction Manager Temple View Capital (TVC) is an established, fast-growing direct private money lender in the residential mortgage industry. MCM is TVC's sister company and an asset manager of residential assets. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team of entrepreneurial professionals and an alternative investment platform focused on mortgage, real estate, and credit investments. We are seeking a detail oriented, well organized, individual to be responsible for all reporting functionality pertaining to loan collateral, post-closing quality control, due diligence and junior transaction manager responsibilities. The role requires collaboration between the department heads, loan origination system users and third-party vendors and buyers to ensure the successful management of loans post origination. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, articulate, conscientious and make sound decisions and conduct themselves with a high level of integrity in executing their responsibilities and initiatives and possess knowledge of loan origination workflows/operations and have past work experience in post closer or transaction management role. Responsibilities * Reconcile missing document Custodial reports weekly and responsible for curing with outsourced trailing document company or internally o Managing the delivery of collateral files to document custodian within established warehouse facility timelines o Working with settlement companies to locate/track and ship missing collateral documents per established guidelines * Communicate with other departments to validate errors found within origination system and or closing documents o Make corrections to LOS, as required o Identify data discrepancies and communicate trends to management * Work with MCM & TVC's Mortgage Loan Servicers to fulfill servicing related loan origination requests o Reviews and validates weekly foreclosure/bankruptcy collateral requests from servicing oversight team and works with collateral specialist to fulfill o Processes all lien release requests from servicer weekly and updates loan origination system accordingly o Processes all weekly paid in full collateral release requests and works with the collateral specialist to ensure proper shipment of files o Works with external vendors to order assignments of mortgages for all needed accounts and cure deficiencies to ensure all assignments are recorded * Collaborate with MCM's & TVC's Capital Markets team and various counterparties to establish strategy and execute plans for the acquisition or sale of non-performing and/or new origination business purpose loans o Manage, track, and communicate pool- and loan-level collateral information throughout the transaction lifecycle--including bid, due diligence, settlement, post close, and sale/securitization o Review, interpret, and resolve post funding collateral deliverables related to agreements, side letters, pending diligence orders, and other projects * Coordinate with Capital Markets, Legal and Operations departments on internal securitization transfers o Deliver loan level data to document custodian and request required reports and trust receipts for transactions o Deliver loan level data to loan servicer and request transfer of loans to new investor code o Deliver bulk assignment orders to selected vendor post internal transfer and ensure said assignments are recorded within the proper counties to show current owner of loan * Monitor loans that have been moved to new investor warehouse lines and securitizations to meet all post transfer obligations o Specific facilities have requirements relating to collateral, valuations, diligence, loan performance etc. o Ensure proper expectations and communication is had with each warehouse facility * Coordinate with the Third-Party Originator department on delivery of new Power of Attorneys o Approving the new originators for direct lending with Temple View Capital * Manage the delivery of loan level data and loan files to third party diligence providers and clear conditions upon receipt o Interpret and management document and data exceptions from due diligence providers o Analyze documents to cure conditions; coordinate with department heads to cure document deficiencies o Validate condition curing to ensure funded and purchased loans satisfy investor guidelines o Create and standardize workflow of diligence vendor process and communication o Supervise additional employees to assist in diligence related tasks * Assist with ad hoc tasks as required to comply with warehouse and securitization covenants Competencies/Skills * At least 1 year of related work experience * Familiarity with loan collateral documents preferred * Computer proficiency * Skilled in Microsoft Office products specifically Excel and Office Mail Merge * Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities Schedule * Full time o Monday to Friday 9AM - 6PM or 10AM - 7PM EST * Work Location: o Hybrid in Bethesda, MD at least 3x a week with remote on other days About the Company Company website: [please apply online] Benefits * Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 pending experience and qualifications * Supplemental Pay: * Discretionary annual bonus * Benefits (waiting period may apply): * 401(k) with matching * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Vision insurance * Life insurance * Disability insurance * Flexible schedule * Paid time off EEO Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
