Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. You will play a key role in driving sales and ensuring a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries or product selections. * Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately. * Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including merchandising and stocking shelves. * Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items. * Upsell products by understanding customer needs and suggesting complementary items. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and resolving issues promptly. * Assist in training new staff members, utilizing your supervising experience as needed. * Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling and phone etiquette. Skills * Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. * Proficiency in retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies. * Experience with cash handling and basic math for accurate transaction processing. * Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales analysis. * Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining product displays. * Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base. * Previous experience in a grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
