POSITION SUMMARY SUMMARY: Performs a variety of tasks to implement and maintain the Quality Management System including product complaint/feedback, document and record control, audits, equipment calibration /maintenance, training, product design, and corrective actions. All duties are performed in a manner that is consistent with the goals and policies of the company, as well as in compliance with ISO standards, where applicable. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with proper notification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Initiates, edits, and installs document revisions into Intelex. Distributes and notifies employees of document revisions while controlling and maintaining previous revisions Optional per division. * Manages quality records. - Optional per division. * Performs and interprets supplier analysis. - Optional per division. * Interprets and implements quality assurance standards and OSHA safety standards. Initiates reminders for calibration/maintenance of equipment - Optional per division. * Participates on the internal audit team. Attends monthly meetings and assist with audits throughout the year, evaluates findings, and implements appropriate corrective actions. * Prepares for and participates in external audits and responds to issues. * Develops and writes QMS documents and procedures for approval. * Leads safety practices for location and participates on the Safety Committee. Attends monthly meetings, records minutes, and follows through with action items * Trains new employees on company safety plans and policies and maintains employee training database. * Participates in the product design process for new products. * Performs equipment calibration/maintenance and contacts vendors to schedule maintenance where appropriate. Optional per division. * Maintains NC, CAR and Deviation Systems in Intelex - Optional per division. * QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in biology or related life sciences; and three years related experience which includes quality assurance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
