We are currently seeking detail-oriented, high- energy, self-motivated, honest and hardworking Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. We offer competitive hourly wage (based on experience) a complete benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401(k) plan with company match and ongoing training / development, life insurance, etc. Job Description: As a Generator Technician / Diesel Mechanic , you will be responsible for the inspection, performing maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and start-ups of diesel-powered generators and related equipment. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure our clients' power systems operate efficiently and reliably. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING * Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel generators up to 2000 kW * Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generator systems * Inspect, test, and maintain transfer switches, control panels, and fuel systems * Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams * Maintain accurate records daily of work performed and parts used * Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner * Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations * Provide on-site customer support and maintain positive client relationships * Responsible for tracking time daily * Keep an organized and clean service truck * Willingness to participate in the responsibility of a 24/7 on - call - technician Requirements: * High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred * Minimum 2 years of experience working with diesel engines and generator systems * Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently in the field * Valid California driver's license and clean driving record * Basic computer skills for service documentation and email communication * Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments Preferred Qualifications: * EGSA certification (Electrical Generating Systems Association) * Experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, etc. * OSHA 10/30 certification Schedule: * Monday to Friday * On-call rotation (after-hours and weekends) Job Type: Full-time Salary: Commensurate with Experience Experience: * Generator Technician: 2 years (Required) Education: * High school or equivalent (Required) License: * Drivers (Required) Work authorization: * United States (Required) Work Remotely * No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour Experience: * relevant: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: * Driver's License (Required) Work Location: Multiple locations
