Job Overview Nova Hemp is a growing Virginia-based hemp wellness brand expanding into multiple retail locations and community events. We are seeking a hands-on Retail & Events Operations Manager to oversee daily store operations, inventory, staffing, and branded events. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who enjoys managing teams, building systems, and executing retail and event operations in a fast-paced, growing business. Responsibilities Retail Operations * Oversee day-to-day operations of Nova Hemp retail locations * Ensure a consistent, welcoming customer experience * Maintain store procedures, opening/closing tasks, and operational standards Inventory Management * Manage inventory across retail stores and events * Track stock levels, transfers, and reorders * Conduct regular inventory counts and reporting Staffing & Scheduling * Hire, train, and manage retail staff * Create weekly schedules for stores and events * Ensure proper staffing coverage during peak hours and events * Flexible availability, including occasional short-notice scheduling, is required. Events & Pop-Ups * Plan and manage pop-ups, markets, and off-site events * Coordinate event inventory, staffing, setup, and breakdown * Ensure brand consistency at all events Operations & Growth * Assist in building systems to support multi-store expansion * Monitor sales, inventory, and labor performance * Work closely with ownership to improve operational efficiency Qualifications * 2+ years of retail management or operations experience * Experience with inventory management and staff scheduling * Strong organizational and leadership skills * Ability to work weekends, evenings, and events as needed * Reliable transportation for travel between locations and events Preferred * Multi-location retail experience * Event or pop-up management experience * Experience in wellness, CBD, or hemp retail environments * Familiarity with POS systems, Shopify, or inventory software * Passionate about the industry Compensation & Benefits * Competitive pay based on experience * Growth opportunities as Nova Hemp expands * Employee product discounts Why Work at Nova Hemp * Be part of a growing local wellness brand * Work closely with ownership and leadership * Help build systems for future retail locations * Opportunity to grow into a senior or director-level role How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a brief summary of your retail and operations experience.
